Wailani Diamonds

4-H Report by Mahina K. Atenza – The Maui Wailani Diamonds 4-H Club held their first meeting on August 20th 2017 at the CTAHR Extension Service Building on UH Maui Campus. The girls installed Kaile Watanabe as Club President.

The Diamonds shared their favorite part from Tech Connect where they discussed STEM careers and enjoyed activities with Virtual Reality, Bloxels, and Ozobots. The leaders also presented judged Record Books and ribbons. The Diamonds voted on new uniform style, and spoke about making time to jot down in record books more often.

The Club is looking forward to their future sewing projects. Their first community service project will be making baby blankets for newborns in the hospital. The Diamonds had a fun time playing the “newspaper dance” and enjoyed delicious pizza, fruit, and snacks.
